Dance-punk emerging from Sheffield's thriving DIY scene, the four-piece announce their debut release on Delicious Clam Records. Recorded by Eoin Loveless (Drenge) at an industrial estate in the sweltering sun on the Costa del Steel City, AI and Stray Cats are a glimpse into the band's raw and unapologetic sound. Formed in Sheffield, and hailing from Sheffield, Manchester and Cambridge, Hard as Nails are now split between Sheffield and Brighton.
In the world of Elon Musk, 6 quid pints, and a failing social system, synthesis and sampling pave the way to a brighter future. As Artificial Intelligence sucks the creativity and life from everything and everyone it touches, Hard as Nails seek to fill a void, driven by haunting synths and pummelling basslines.
A strange sadness is often the reality. The witching hour forces a lonesome light to be left on for those in need. Nobody is safe from the plague. Be the antidote.

"That is something really special. Finally, the debut single from the dance punk group Hard As Nails, which is released on the DIY label and venue Delicious Clam, which is out of Sheffield. You might remember we first came across the band last year after visiting Delicious Clam to speak to them for New Music Fix Live when we were in Sheffield and Hard As Nails were playing a gig there that night and we stuck around for it and we were absolutely hooked. Absolutely amazing live band, they've got some live dates coming up in Sheffield this week at Tramlines Fringe shows, head to their Instagram for details and hopefully more live dates to come from Hard As Nails.
